Description

On the front side of the cross is the Crucifixion of the Lord Jesus Christ, on the back is the Valaam Icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The icon was painted in 1878 by the hieromonk of the Valaam Monastery, Fr. Alipius became famous for the miracle of healing the bourgeois Natalia Andreeva in 1897 and has since been revered as a healer for various ailments.
