The front side of the reliquary cross depicts the Crucifixion of the Lord Jesus Christ. To the right of the Lord are depicted the Mother of God and Saint Mary of Cleopas, to the left are the Holy Apostle John and Saint Longinus the Centurion. All these saints, together with the Mother of God, were on Golgotha ​​during the execution of the Savior. On the back of the reliquary are written lines from the prayer to the Venerable Cross, read during spiritual and everyday dangers: “May God rise again, and may His enemies be scattered, and may those who hate Him flee from His face. As smoke disappears, let them disappear; As wax melts in the presence of fire, so let demons perish in the presence of those who love God.” On the inside of the cross is depicted Saint Matrona of Moscow. Blessed Matrona was blind from birth, but had from the Lord a special gift of spiritual vision and perspicacity. She saw the destinies of people and healed illnesses with prayer.The saint, even beyond the grave, continues to provide help to everyone who needs it, for which believers lovingly call her Matronushka. Around the image of the saint there is a prayer written: “Oh, blessed mother Matrono, be my invincible intercessor.”
